Nick Montagano ranked among Rhode Island’s top divers, but it was as a duckpin bowler that he achieved his greatest success.  To this day many old timers call him “Warren’s best-ever bowler.”

Possessor of the Bristol County League’s high average and/or high single score on more than one occasion, Nick was invited by the New England Duckpin Bowling Association to participate in its exclusive 1968 All Star Tournament.

And in 1970 the Massachusetts Duckpin Bowling Hall of Fame inducted him into its membership with the following commentary: “Whose understanding and approach to the duckpin bowling industry makes him singular, whose congeniality and warmth of personality are generated throughout his fellow man, and whose bowling talent make him excel among others.”
