JODI E. KOPECKY  (Athlete, Class of 2007)

 

Early in her teenage years Jodi Kopecky twice was the Elks Bristol County Girls Free Throw Champion (placing third in the state in 1990), while also being named to the Little League Softball All Star team.

As a student-athlete at both Warren High School and then Mount Hope High School, Jodi earned divisional honors in basketball, soccer, and slow-pitch softball on six separate occasions.  She played on two championship teams, being named Most Valuable Player in the 1993 Class C Basketball Tournament that was won by Warren High and serving as the soccer goalie for Mount Hope High’s 1993 Division Two East title squad.

Following her high school career, she was a member of the Common Pub and Magic Carpet/Sandbaggers softball teams that earned Women’s League titles.  And at Salve Regina Jodi was named All 1st Team Commonwealth Coast Conference softball after hitting .303 in 1998.
