ANDREW VOLLARO, JR. (Athlete, Class of 2007)
Andy Vollaro was a Babe Ruth Baseball League All Star in 1977. At Warren High School he earned divisional honors in both baseball and football.
After being named to the All Class B Small football second team as a sophomore, he earned first team honors in both his junior and senior seasons. During his senior season he led Rhode Island in scoring and paced the Redskins to the Class B Small and Class B Super Bowl Championships. In the process Andy was named to the All State first team as a running back.
Named Warren High’s Most Athletic Boy of the Class of 1980, he attended Southern Connecticut College and then Roger Williams College. At Roger Williams he set scoring and rushing records, led the New England Collegiate Conference in rushing, and received New England Collegiate Conference honors. In 1983 Andy was a member of the Warren Softball League All Star team.
